Hurricane Irene may have "diminished" to a tropical storm by the time it reached us, but she still packed quite a wallop in terms of power outages throughout Connecticut.  As I write this, more than 100,000 homes and businesses are still without power, six days after the storm.

The warehouse is darker than the inside of a beehive when the power is out, nevermind the fact that we have no office equipment or telephone service.  (I'm posting this from a Starbuck's.)  Reports are that electricity should be restored over the weekend, and hopefully internet and phone will follow quickly.  As soon as the power comes on, we will commence getting things prepped and ready for a big outgoing shipment on Tuesday and will continue through the week to get caught up.

VERY sorry to be incommunicado this week ... the magnitude and duration of Irene's disruption comes as quite a surprise!
